BSkyB AGM and Q1 Results for the three months ended 30 September 2012 is scheduled for:

      1 November 2012

Previous results announcements have been accompanied by several product announcements, so what will we get this time?

Maybe this will be the platform to either officially launch (if it hasn't already done so by then) or complete the roll-out of Catch-Up TV on the latest Sky+HD STBs?

And maybe launch the Sky Hub?

Sky have been developing a lot of new features for their TV services over the last year or so. It has already been mentioned that Catch Up TV will soon become available for anyone who has a 'compatible box'. This does currently mean that only those who have the DRX890 or DRX895 will get the new service at first.

ITV Player and Demand 5 are, I understand, to become available at the launch, with BBC iPlayer coming later in October and 4oD becoming added early next year.

As for the Sky Hub, I think that this may well be launched at the beginning of the month too, but we don't have anything on this at present.

Certainly for anyone who is interested in Sky's products October will be an interesting month, with promises of more goodies to come early next year too.

The channel line up in the EPG was revised last week with several new channels and some others moving locations.

In addition BBC 2 HD is due to be launched soon, taking over the BBC HD frequency on Freeview. I would imagine that the same will be the case on the Sky and Freesat listings.

Tyne Tees, the last area in England to still be broadcasting Analogue channels say goodbye to them this Wednesday.

For those members in Northern Ireland their big date is 10th October. This is the last region to get switched over completely to Digital TV and a fond farewell to Analogue signal should be said on 24th October when it is switched off for the last time. Hopefully UTV will also start broadcasting in HD too, bringing another HD channel to the line up.

More on their change over can be found here: Digital UK - Northern Ireland

(there is also some information on the site regarding other regions and proposed retuning dates - Digital UK - My TV region )

Catch Up TV and the Sky Hub have now been launched, so what new product news will be officially announced on Thursday?

      Sky Go Extra maybe?

      NOW TV enhancements perhaps?

More new functionality for Sky+HD - Shared Planner?

Good question, perhaps we should start a new thread for people to speculate in?

I mean, we've repeated some of the rumours and hinted at some things, but what would the members like to see?

Q1 FY13 results were announced this morning.

"Robust quarterly performance with broad product growth and strong loyalty"

      "Extending leadership incontent"

      "Bringing world-class innovation to customers"

"Top-line growth and operational efficiency driving strong financial performance"

Customer numbers and other metrics (Triple-play% and ARPU) at record high compared to last 8 quarters.

      4.103 million broadband customers - 95% on-net (of which 71% MPF, 29% SMPF).

Nothing specific announced about future product developments though (as far as I can see).
