      Annoying advertising on sky.com

Does anybody know a way of circumventing these annoying adverts on sky.com ?? It now seems that even logging in as a registered user (and a paying SKY customer), I am being FORCED to watch these annoying adverts with almost every single news article I click on. I can appreciate the need for advertising but why is it being done to such a huge degree ? Its actually putting me off using sky.com and I'm using other sites now, surely I cannot be the only person who feels this way. I click on a simple news article and my speakers are literally blasted by a "mcdonalds advert" which is incredibly annoying in itself. Surely paid customers should have a method of opting out ?? Interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this.

Different Web Browsers have built-in Ad Blocking systems. There are also add-ons for the others which you could install.

With the new rules for Cookies coming into force soon, I would hope that Sky will make it a little clearer for their ads too.

What browser are you using? I don't get any adverts on Firefox or IE. Certainly not ones which blast out sound. The only time I get any sound on sky.com is when I choose to play a video.

Aren't these adverts built into the stream? Like in itv player you get about 4 or 5 before the program stars
