Netquin Garbage!
I have an Android Mobile Phone Samsung GS2. And I installed a few weeks ago Netquin Android Booster & Netquin Mobile Manager. The other day I went into Netquin Manager and as soon as I touched the icon to launch it an instant text (sms) comes through saying it has made a £1.50 charge /subscription onto my phone account .(Of which this has happened) also it put a Games app onto my screen, of which could not be deleted. I was always led to believe that Netquin was supposed to be a trusted App, I now know different, as all they are removed, and removed. This company cannot be trusted.
A few months back out of the blue I also had a text come through from some other company automatically creating a subscription for me at a cost of £4.00 per month of which I had great difficulty to stop. I reported it to Vodaphone and they could do very little to help, even if I was to change my number, the apps somehow that are on the phone would find somehow on giving me all these crap subscriptions. Blocking the text numbers does not help as it would still effect ones account with charges. Can someone give me some constructive info on how to deal with this possible scam? (As for Netquin, I have now uninstalled all their (removed) Apps

Re: Netquin Garbage!
Thank you for the heads up on this.
Could I suggest that you contact Trading Standards for advice?
There should be a way of removing the application, have you tried using Kies Air?. I would suggest that if you were to write to Vodafone and advise them that any money paid on behalf of this app should be reclaimed as it was not authorised by you. Trading Standards and the CAB should be able to advise how to go about doing this for you.

After sending an email to Netquin. they sent me an email back, The content to the email meant nothing to me. (See Netquin,s Email below, I did a copy & Paste)

A: Could you please inform us your UID or IMEI code? This will help us to get detailed checking and give accurate answers for your case. After that, we will get back you the reply regarding your question as soon as possible.
How to get my UID or IMEI code?
1, UID
Symbian User: Enter the app, click "option"---"My Service”---“account information";
Android User: Enter the app, click “upgrade to pro member”/ “Pro Member Zone”---“account”.
2, IMEI code
IMEI code will be showed as 15 serial numbers after input “*#06#” on standby interface.

Re: Netquin Garbage!
Before responding, ask Vodafone to confirm whether it is reasonable to provide such information and if it will be handled securely.
If it isn't the best method, ask Vodafone what would be a safer secure method for them to identify you.

Re: Netquin Garbage!
Why are they asking for your UID or your IMEI? - apps should not be accessing that info in the first place so why would the app developer need this info? I personally would not give that info to anyone other than my mobile phone network provider (mobile networks have this info so probably wouldn't ask you anyway)

Sorry to be a killjoy, but having once already had legal action threatened against us for a previous member's opinion, I have edited your original post.
I have left the thread now that it has been edited.
