awww... what a waste of time.

Problems that had been going on for several months or in one case over 2 years.

A simple post on here and they could have been provided the contact details of the Executive team promptly.

I was hoping that it was going to be something about Sky BB Connect. Now that would have been a worthy cause for Watchdog to have a go at Sky for.

Remember the Beeb sees Sky as its main competitor and will routinely `rubbish`Sky.

I do realise this. The item did also have a little go at Virgin as well.

All the pre-item talk was about Sky though. However in all cases the customers' complaints were resolved.

      Re: Sky on Watchdog tonight

What made me laugh, Sky have had approx 1000 complaints to Watchdog, VM had approx 500.

In the grand scale of things, much as I hate to say it, with nearly 15 million customers combined, that's pretty good going in my eyes.

I realise that both Sky and VM have their own traits and bad customer service sometimes, but the majority of the time, both companies provide a service that just works.

If I were the boss of either company, I wouldn't be too worried.

I bet we get more complaints then Watchdog do for Sky on the forums, or failing that, I would practically guarantee, that we get more than 1000 people looking to resolve their problems in just one hour by visiting this site.

A lot of the time, solutions are easily found, without the need to contact Sky anyway.

Much as I hate to say it, VM obviously also ain't doing too badly, 500 complaints out of all their customers is pretty good going.

I think the company that should be worried after last night's programme should be Pontins, and if I were the gaffer I would sack that woman who represented them. She didn't even have the balls to say sorry, or even acknowledge the issues that were proven in front of her own eyes.

At least the Beeb did the decent thing and rubbished Virgin too

Newsreader - that's 1000 and 500 calls to Watchdog, not quite the same thing as overall complaints, but yes - still a barometer of kinds.

To be fair to both companies, the BBC made a mountain out of a molehill.

Pontins had a far higher amount of complaints (proportionately) iirc - And they have only 1.5 million customers.

Whilst watching it, I knew that the dwarfs would be thrown out lol
