Galaxy s2 has a similar vibe to the iphone in appearance so I wouldn't really give it the edge there but yeah there are plenty of android phones out there that kick iphones butt.

lol no, the whole thing about the samsung being better.

im no apple-fan-boy but i prefer iphone 4/4s to the samsung galaxy s2, its way to large for my liking, i dont fit comfortably in my hand so it is arkward, atleast iphone is more friendly and look-wise i prefer it.

i know the samsung may be stronger as in performance, u just cant beat apple in apps that is one thing they are well advanced in, and the whole android os is sooooo annoying i even prefer rim over andriod and rim dont have much to boast about, its just alot more user friendly.

      ios: best for apps
rim: best for bbm i geuss
android: iv lost track of all the andriod phones there is a new one like every week. i geuss they are not doing bad.

people complain how there is a new iphone every year, well think about it there is a new andriod every week! so you buy a phone today, there will be a new andriod with better spec's next week.

this might just be me atm, but im sure there are others who feel the same.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S2 "No1 Phone"

I can see where you are coming from. Android have reached an agreement with manufacturers whereby they are required to update the OS for at least 18 months after launch so we do have a safety clause there... I do agree about too many android phones being flooded in the market. What's worse is that they seem to be coming from the same manufacturers.

Let's use my example. I've got a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. I waited for the phone for months and got it on launch. In a span of six months Sony Ericsson have release 6 more android based phones after it including a faster version of Arc (1.4ghz processor Arc S).

As a SE customer I am having a tough time understanding what their strategy behind all this is. But nevertheless I am happy with my phone and would not want to update to another android phone. Having said that the amount of depreciation it is clocking just because newer models with no drastic improvements are being released is still a concern for me.

Indeed. I've never understood why people moan about Apple's annual product cycle...They all do it! e.g. The original Samsung Galaxy S came out in June 2010, the same month as the iPhone 4. The Galaxy S II came out in May 2011, so just under one year later. The rest of the mobile manufacturers do the same. Ditto for tablets.

As for the thread... The GS II and iPhone 4S have quite comparable specs. Some areas are a draw, some are a win for one, some are a win for the other. Overall I don't think there's a lot in it. And of course something Apple has always known is that it's not just about tech specs...

The next Android flagship though should take the tech spec top-spot though... The Nexus Prime.

yea exdee your right about the amount of android phones been released its a disgrace do the companys not know theres a recession on or had been. as for the galaxy s 2 i personally havent tried this phone so i dont know what its like in the hand but id rather have a bigger screen than a small one thats hard to read as for some reason my vision isnt great from a certain distance like text pics isnt so bad but text isnt great.
