I think their policy has been hitting them where it hurts, in their pocket. There are a large number who have moved here recently due to O2s capping policy. No doubt many have left them that we don't know about.

Agreed. The damage may have already been done but it's nice to see that we have more choice now.

IMO they had no choice, loads of people have left because of the limits, I left them last month to come back to Sky, and apart from the loss of slight upload speed, Sky is far better. Even the router is better than the pile of pooh, that o2 gives you. (ahh just sussed that rhymes)

IMO Sky have made the error of now forcing people to take Sky Line Rental if they want Sky Broadband. Either they have enough customers, or a U-Turn will happen IMO

Fair enough. But I wonder what ratio of people would be put off by moving their line rental to Sky? A minority I suppose. IMO, For most of the people cost is a factor and they would be happy to take Sky's cheaper line rental.

A lot of people will be under contract to BT for x amount of months, I am.

I consciously signed up to Sky 2 days before they changed their conditions, as no way would I get Sky Talk, reading the horror stories.

Sky are an excellent company, and if I am honest, I have never really had any issues with them, but if you had signed over to them for phone line etc as well, you have no eggs left in the basket.

I was paying BT 220 a month for phone bills etc and then changed to their packaged which includes all calls, average bill now is 18 per month including calls etc - But like I said, the contract has another 12 months or so to go. So I couldn't have signed upto Sky Talk unless Sky bought me out of the contract.

Not that I was aware of, they were fine, uploads were faster than Sky, but they put my bill up, and then would only decrease it by a fiver a month, if I committed to a further 12 months.

Sky were 2 a month cheaper and they give me Sky Anytime + or whatever it is called. Do I regret leaving o2?

No... Their customer service is crap. Sky have never really let me down, and if they have ever done so, they have always put it right, unlike o2.

What was your difference in upstream from o2 to sky

I sync at 1216 already with sky thats a limitation on the globespan dslam's though
they are unstable over 1216 so are locked out at firmware level

      My actual profile is 1312
