True well I hardly ever do - sometimes it's a nice experience for the daughter though. I often dislike the experience, paying through the nose to hear plebs talking through the movie and flashing their mobiles while texting....

Box Office good value, agreed - all three of us, 3.99 and HD too

well this is the thing i think cinemas could be a thing of the past because less people are going to them. cause they realise they appear on sky a few months after there released but yea prices are crazy in cinemas crackers

Yep, why prices have gone up I guess - reduced number of cinema loyalists, let's see how much dosh we can squeeze out of them

I'd hazard a guess that it's more down to the amount of people streaming or downloading the films illegally.

      Re: Cinema prices!!!

Cinemas offer a totally different experience to watching films at home.

      On the positive side:

      * Screens larger than 60" (Ok I have a 40" screen, but it is also not 3D)
      * No cleaning up the popcorn afterwards
      * Good full surround sound experience (I'm still waiting to get my 7.1 system)
      * Something to share with a friend or two
      * Sky Box Office shows the sames films at least 6 months after the release, so you get to see them sooner at the Cinema
      * No neighbours complaining about the load noises
      * No one interrupts you by calling on your telephone (unless you're the person who left it on )

      PlusNet Fibre since Jan 2021
Previously Sky Fibre & Sky BB since 2010.
