      Jealous?
Not really, although I come from a country which will probably never again qualify for the World Cup, I don't have enough interest in Football to let it bother me. In fact the way the competition is shaping up, I think England have a good chance of lifting the Cup.

They have some good young players and in a couple of years I might agree with you.
Englands experience, if they play to their potential, should see them through.

Commiserations But lets face it a crowd of primadonnas were beaten by a better team. The disallowed goal may have made a difference, but who knows, the outcome would probably not have been different.

Just seen another bad goal decision in the the MexVArgy game. It may have not influenced the outcome but it may have, it was a much closer game.

      Re: england supporters

We deserved to lose and if anything the result was generous to us. The disallowed goal made no difference, we were just too poor.

      Anyway, we'd never beat Argentina.

I agree. How can a country which is so passionate about football consistantly have such awful national teams ?

      Re: england supporters

Maybe Beckenbauer had something when he said there were far too many foreigners playing in the Premier league? I read somewhere that about 65% of the players in the top league were foreigners.

      Re: england supporters

seems that the english media want capello to "fall on his sword" like all the managers before him. I think the english squad have been listening to the hype and believed that turning up means winning the world cup and just didn't put the effort in that the other teams have done .
hopefully this result will give some new kids a chance to come through and play [think there was 4 germans under 21 in that squad and it showed with their quick passing and strong attack and defence]

      Re: england supporters

The problem is the structure of English football. The Premier League is run by the clubs and they look after their own interests so will not care about the national team, that is why there are so many non English players at the like of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Until you put in a limit so more young Brits come through then you are not going to produce players good enough for the England team.
