      help with wifi router please

hi i have the standard wifi router that comes with the standard package. I have a lot of space and i also want to use my pc in garage thats outside.

the router does not seem up to it. I have seen some fancy netgear products that look like they would do the job.

so , can you just plug in another router ? do you need some kind of code etc ?

      thanks in advance.

How far away is the garage and can the pc see the router at all while it is out there?
You could piggyback the two but you would have to turn off DHCP off on the second router, assign it a fixed ip etc. There are instructions out there to do it though.
