That bit on the end may have 1 connector, it may have 4, depending on how sky installed it. You need to unscrew the cable, and carefully screw it back into one of the other ports, if you have one that is!, Its not un-common for these ports to fail.

      You normally have a few ports because of people having multi-view in their homes, its a way of providing different stations to different people in different rooms basically.

      If changing the port doesn't work, you will need a whole new piece of kit, which the sky man or woman will fit. They are tricky to do without proper kit.

      I hope that helps, its a very easy switch if you have easy access to your dish, please don't put yourself in danger, let the sky man do it if you don't feel able.
      And that goes for anyone else reading this.
      Thanks very much for you help, but the Sky dish is much to high for me to be able to reach, even with a step ladder. So I will have to wait a week for an engineer I think.

      If this happens every time it snows isnt there anything that they can do ? just wondered.

      No problem at all, better safe than sorry. Ice can also affect the LNB, and is exasperated by the LNB not receiving sufficient power during the boxes standby setting, so maybe a good idea to turn that feature off for a few months till the spring lol.
