USA Customs charge?
Hey
I have ordered a bike frame, and I was wondering roughly how much it will cost for duty ect.
I paid $565.00 and $220.00 shipping, which is about £489.00
How much do you think I would have to pay on top for duty?
Thanks, anyone work in customs?

Not sure if the VAT rate is correct, I think it is still 15% till January 1st

Carbon fibre swing arm, full suspension with a FOX RP23 rear?
Its cheap trust me
Look at MX bikes, fox / maraz..
The whole bike if bought new would be be £2000.00

Re: USA Customs charge?
Just pray it arrives before Jan 1st 2010, because VAT goes up to 17.5% then.

Re: USA Customs charge?
The carrier may also charge you (perhaps £20) for dealing with the import paperwork.

Re: USA Customs charge?
The customs charge from whoever ships it may be more than that as some of them charge a %'age as they claim they are lending you the money to pay customs and you have to pay them interest.
Plus the 10-20 quid handling charge.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
