I went from XP Pro 64 which was rubbish to Windows 7 Pro 64 and things that i couldn't get to work in XP works fine in W7, I did have a few problems but that now looks like a hardware problem and not W7.
It does look like MS have actually got things right this time round just like they did in the late 90's.
      Well done Microsoft

Apparently W7 has some interesting WiFi code included (but not documented) that allows you to convert your laptop to become a WiFi Hot Spot and share your connection with others. It allows you to have your own SSID and Encryption password at the same time as connecting to your router with your existing Password. So you get a virtual access point in addition to your normal network connection. See Connectify

All the partitions will have a recycle bin size to allow stuff to be kept on the partition it was deleted on.

If you don't want a recycle bin on the D drive, right click on the bin, select properties, and on the D drive select "don't use a bin on this dtrive".

I also would drop the size of the bin down on the other drives as well as the default of 10% on todays large drives is stupidly large.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

The Recycle Bin will be on all partitions, it always has been. It is normally hidden so if you are seeing it you must have Hide System Files disabled, which is not too wise.

Right click the Bin icon on your Desktop, select Properties and you will see how much is allocated to each partition by highlighting it. You can adjust the amount or stop deleted items going to the Bin, which again, might not be too wise.

got it, i had to do it on each drive, so now i have non on all exept C which is 1gb
Do you think if you delete something on your D partition it will go into the Bin on C?
