      Remove me 118 800

      Hi forum members
      Just some information to share with you all regarding going ex directory for your mobile phones.

      118 800 are about to add your mobile number to their directory! You didn't know ? well you do now.
      This is an opt out service. In other words if you don't opt out then your mobile number will be included in the public directory.

      Are you ready to get bombarded with calls you do not want nor asked for?

      I was tempted to opt out, but then again how could I be sure that they didn't have my number and then added it on my response to opt out.

      I too thought about opting out, but as I use my 0871 number for everything other than personal, family and customers - I'd doubt they had it in the first place....

      I can't agree more, people will provide their details this way even if the phone companies don't. I rang O2 and they deny that the details will be provided to 118 800. So I would wait and watch for the time

      With a couple of DO loops they already have your number - they may not of course know it belongs to you. If you text E to 118800 they still do not have your name so still cannot link your number to your name.

      My bet is they already do have a link between your name and number - they could not start an adventure like this if they only had a couple of people in the database.
