BT Call Divert Charge
Does anyone know the cost to get BT to divert all calls from a line to another BT line?
A friend of mine has recently re-located, not far away but his new place is at another premesis, he needs to get all the calls from his original location diverted across to the new office.
What to BT charge to do a permenant divert at their level? What he has now seems to be extremely expensive and he is paying on a call to call basis, there must be an option to do it another way.

Re: BT Call Divert Charge
Dunno if this still relevant, but,
"BT Divert with Bypass for Business Customers If you only have a single BT Business line but would still like us to transfer your calls to you, you can have a Bypass number from BT known as 'Divert with Bypass'. BT charge £6.33 per month for this service. Call BT Business on 152 to activate but please note that not everyone in BT is familiar with the Divert service so you may have to explain further, and is normally activated within 24 hours".
Why doesn't he just get his number shifted to the line at the new office?

Re: BT Call Divert Charge
It's called Out of Area divert and you pay for each call, as you found out.
Your best option is to get a VoIP provider to port the line up to them and then use VoIP at your new location.
Other option would be to get 2 x lines installed somewhere in the old area code and then put a PBX there to send incoming calls down one out of the other.
Still, I'd recommend the VoIP route.
