      Dog and Kitten

Ok had my dog for about 5 years she is a alsation cross and medium sized. My partners mum's cat had some kittens and my partner wanted one. I said ok. My dog had lived with a cat for the past 2 years and she was ok with it as was the cat with her.

Now the kitten is understandable very scared of the dog and sometimes swipes, hisses and growls at the dog. My dog also whines at the cat.

Is there any quick solution here or way to get them used to each other as we dont wanna give the cat up?

      Cheers

      You could try controlled exposure....

Two of you there, cat on your lap other person holding the dog... try and gradually bring them closer together while giving both lots of affection.. IF either gets stressed stop and try again at another time...

We had 2 cats Sheba 14 years old and Fluffy 8 at the time when we bought our beagle and brought her home the cats did there tank and this went on for 3 or 4 weeks but they did eventually get used to each other, though since then Sheba passed away but Sherry still tries to play with Fluffy and she gets loads of scratches but thats cats and dogs for you

Mind if an other cat comes in the garden its world war 10
