      DMS5 do you know anybody in greasby that you could phone to confirm this as my sister works in the greave pub and there power was out along with the rest of the village

      commandercarr - sorry don't know anyone in Greasby! But the power has been steady here and in Hoylake. However it is very windy. Maybe it's just a local problem.

      As an aside all the off-shore wind farms along our coast line have been non-opeartional for the past few days (at least when I've seen them) and if we are short of power generation why aren't we using these?

      Seriously, It can be too windy for windfarms and they have to stop them to avoid damaging the generators.
