Is it the Earthquake, Global Warming or has someone stolen my Broadband connection?
What is the most original excuse you have read/ been given/
imagined, for losing your Sky Broadband connection?
I thought it was because I upgraded Windows Live Messenger.
When I troubleshoot it tells me there are
DNS and Key Ports problems.Last edited by murdock; 28-02-08 at 12:02 PM. Reason: revised

Re: Is it the Earthquake, Global Warming or has someone stolen my Broadband connectio
called SKY three times last night, reason for outage where as follows :
1. One of our servers is down, dont know when it will be fixed
2. There is a problem in the exchange all sky users are effected
3. The problem is because of the earthquake , the entire country can't get on the internet.
Strange, there was nothing on the news !
What was the real problem, anyone know ?

I'll ask my friend who works at SKY when I see her:P
I phoned up last night and they were like, oh sir theres a problem and we don't know when it will be fixed.
Second time the woman explaiend to me that there are problem with authentication in the radius server and users cant get an IP address... I doubt it was the earthquake lmao...

Well, after 17 months of trouble free Max Internet,
the last week was annoying.
But since yesterday, everything is back to normal.
So I conclude the Earthquake must have shaken my
router while I was asleep causing disconnections.
Hope you guys are keeping track of the forced firmware
upgrade of the White V1 router without our permission.
And forecasts of hurricanes.

That Earthquake, was outta this world. I mean I felt my bed shake and thought the house was coming down.
I think the Media, made a big hassel over it though, it was way hyped up.
