      A New Exchange

      Hi Guys n Gals.

At present the vast majority of our village cannot receive ADSL due to line length. The same goes for the other villages around us.

During a chat the other night we wondered how much it would cost BT to actually create a new telephone exchange to service the surrounding 4 villages. This would then enable 3000 or so residents to join the 21st century.

Does anyone have any ideas in the costs involved?

      Re: A New Exchange

got to be a few millions

      land and building costs
      linking this building to network
      all equipment for new building
linking houses to this new exchange

      would 10 million cover it?
