Talktalk want to move Sky BB

I want to move to Sky because talktalk has a slow connection, and it havent got Tv channels. If i use Mac code how long do i have to wait?

      I will choose :

      Sky tv : Entertainment, kids

      Sky talk: unlimited

      Sky Surf: Max

      Total month: 49 ponds

And I havent got a wireless adaptor, and you cant change adapters in my computer. Can sky give me a network usb adaptor, or do i have to buy one?

Please answer and Sorry for my bad english because i am new in this county, and I came from Holland.

      THNX

I think if i remember correct sky will supply you with a usb wireless adaptor for 29 if you ask for one-but you have to ask as it don't come with the router. Personally i got a new one from ebay for 15 (Netgear WG111) Works great on my PC in bedroom no probs with it
Sorry cant help with mac address thing as i didn't do that it seemed like too much effort to me,so i just cancelled ntl broadband & had sky within the 30 days notice period

The speed of the switch can vary depending on ::

If TalkTalk have you connected on LLU which means you are connected to TalkTalk equipment in the exchange, then the switch can be slow because everything on your line has to be cleared before Sky can take over the line and I believe it will require some rewiring in the exchange.

If you are not on LLU with TalkTalk it means you are connected to BT equipment in the exchange which is leased to TalkTalk. I believe the switch to Sky LLU should be quicker.

Also I don't think it will be as much as 49 a month. If your only selecting two mixes, a normal sky box, sky talk unlimited and Max. I make that 30 a month, you'll be pleased to here!! Check on the sky site below though, it should give you a monthly total depending on what you select.

Can you, How can i contact u?

What is the Differents between Sky BB and Sky BB LLU?

Edit: I get you, I have only a modem from Talktalk. How long is it taken to switch from Talktalk?
Yesterday I asked Talktalk to give me the Mac code and the woman told me that I have to cancel my broadband if I want to,
and im not sure about Sky Broadband because i want only Sky Tv but its to expensive, and my Internet from Talktalk is to slow.
I live in Woolwich in South-London, are the service good in my area?

Re: Talktalk want to move Sky BB

do not cancle thatll shut down your bb going to your house--youll then need to have that re setup and then get another isp a lot of hassle tell her she is not allowed to prevent you from obtaining your mac code and she is to give-provide one asap without cancling aol pulled this with me and left me having to do it the hard way talk talk are nothing but a hassle and waist of time

with ur mac code given to another isp-ie sky it should be about 10-17 days most till your with them though you will not notice as youll only be offline for 15min so so during the time of the changeover untill then youll still be on your old isp

What do you mean it's too expensive? If you only wanted TV from Sky then you shouldn't have bought a box. Sky would have given you this for free when you take out a years contract. Your going to have to contact Sky to get a Viewing Card anyway.

Re: Talktalk want to move Sky BB

THNX but Sky BB is too expensive. ,what at free for base ok, only 2GB limit & thats not much,I've used that in 4 days & I've not downloaded much, Mid 5 for 40GB i don't consider that expensive at all,i think thats a brill price. But well as mikey4020 said why buy a box,you should have checked out sky web page first as it says Free Standard Box & Free Installation for NEW customers.
I would try & get rid of that box & sign up on line at sky web site, that way you don't pay to call an 087 number
