In the end I just stopped replying to their e-mails and now they leave me alone.
Well they are not sending me emails as when I discovered that I was unable to use it to send or receive from 10th March I removed the account from my email and they don't know my new address.

They said that they were unable to close my account 30 days after requesting mac as sky had not used it! They would not do anything about bills - they said it was up to sky to pay them - I have to pay and then it is between ofcom and sky to sort it with me!!
I'd call again - and hopefully you'll speak to someone else more helpful. Espescially seems as you:
      a) Served notice period already
      b) Called to confirm that the account was closed
      c) The account was closed

There will be notes on your account to reflect all this and all calls to Virgin are recorded.

      hang in there!

Is there anything in your Virgin inbox ONLINE (not using outlook)?

      might be worth checking through?

I have just tried loging in and what came up was:

Please choose a new Internet package.
Your current package is: ntl:Freedom Broadband 1Mb Talk Unlimited 24.
Sorry, you cannot make changes to this account, as it is not currently active.
However I tried again logging on to email account and I got into email! Interesting though as I said before I used to get an email about a payment a couple of days before the direct debit went out - there is one there for march, but there isn't one there for this month.

That's weird, letting you sign in, but then saying that the account is closed!

Yes, but not only that it states the the account is/was ntl:Freedom Broadband 1Mb Talk Unlimited 24 - I had upgraded to 2mb about two years ago but honestly didn't see much difference and was paying more. It seems that it wasn't even upgraded!

I don't think it works like that, try logging into your sky mail from another isp and i think you will find you can't....ie i was with orange and migrated to Sky, as soon as i tried getting mail from my orange account ( when i fist migrated )through outlook express i found i couldn't. Yet if i log in through the orange website i CAN access my old mail even after 5 months of being on Sky !!! So i wouldn't bank on thinking you can't access mail so your old accounts closed!
