if it aint broken, dont try to fix it
Well with my old computer i thought i would be clever reformatted and now it cant find the drivers for my Ethernet card! Grrr is there such a thing called generic Ethernet drivers! i am using XP BTW!

XP should have found the card when you reinstalled .
If it found it but didn`t install drives , then - Control Panel / System / Hardware , Device Manager. Check ethernet Card properties to see what its Or open Pc up and see if make model on card. Either Google for drivers or Remove?unistall ethernet card from Device Manager - Reboot PC and if XP find `New Hardware` let it find drives for you . ( might be an idea to contect to internet with dial up so XP can find driver online.
Failling that buy a new card of Ebay (mine cost a couple Quid including postage).
