My mates got that mouse and was complaining about the same thing, "It's a feature" hahahhaahaha
i got the G5 and am very happy with it, when I'm not gaming I can load it with all the supplied weights and have a work out

I dont go for all the wireless-mouse malarkey. I need every ounce of speed to kill kill kill...... Wireless PAH I could lose 2-3ms response time using that.
I have a razer Diamondback and Exactmat and it is the dogs thingies...

i phoned Logicrap TS today, they answerd before i even heard a ring,
after explaining my problem with the G7 and explaining what a pile of junk it is the very nice chap said
"ok np were send you out a new one on monday for you"
i said pardon, dont you want proof from where i bought it he said
"no thats ok sir"
and i said how do i send this one back he said
"put it in the bin when your new one arrives"
he then gave me my refrence number and said have a nice weekend sir.
Logicrap TS is excellent shame there products dont work that way but where see with the new one"To help would be a great adventure"
