Re: staying put
Your call and I wont try to convert you - did want a Sky+ box though
Good luck with whoever you decide on in the future.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: staying put
It's much easier to switch to Sky if you are having problems with your current ISP as you have nothing to lose.

Re: staying put
If your happy and there are no money issues, then stay put. Like everything in life.
Since Sky uses BT to provide the ISDN lines, if you switched i'd suspect you'd get the same line and connection, as Wanadoo and Orange use BT as far as I know. (the only time you'll change from a BT inferstructure is if you go to Cable/DSL, which is newer cabling).
But i'd have to disagree with Saturday's 8 day try it approach. By the time you get he box and the lines activated 8 days is not enough of an evaluation peroid. If your going to change, be prepared to be willing to work out any problems you might have.
Personally I upgraded from an not too brillient Tiscali line, to Sky and had nothing but troubles, i've managed to iron out 'most' of the wrinkles (was a complete nightmare). Now I just have problems with latency due to my wireless (if it was possible to run a cable I would, but the router is in the worth place possible in the house.. at the faceplate).
Anyway, if I had a line I was 100% happy with. I'd be more than happy to pay £180 a year, to sustain that.. No mess no fuss. But each to their own.
The important thing is you've made a choice and are happy with that choice.Last edited by Scrubbless; 01-02-07 at 10:15 AM.

Re: staying put
My troubles could be just on the horizon with Wanadoo/Orange as sometime very shortly Orange are upgrading my connection to 8Mb free of charge.
This free upgrade has caused major problems with a huge amount of Orange customers.
If i end up with a poor service, I may as well go to Sky and pay less money for a potentially poor service.

Re: staying put
As posted in the xbox live thread i've got the BOGON ip address problem and can't connect to xbox live. A nightmare for me as my subs are paid up well in advance.
However my ping for pc gaming is superb.
If I could access xbox live then skybroadband would get 10/10 so far. The xbx live problem and other site ip access has been an issue since August last year so for that they are currently hovering at 5/10
