Other ways I can go about getting Gamer Profile activated
Hello, well I have constantly been phoning and emailing Sky Support and all the advisers just ask me to put it in the test socket, change micro filters, chance ADSL cable etc etc then tell me that once they have ran a line test they will get the higher level of support. This has happened 4 times now and they say they will contact me back, never have. Are the first advisers authorized to turn gaming profile on or does it have to be tier 2? I'm sick of the same constant checks they have to do and they never ring back.
Thanks in advance

Call them. The 08442 number is free to call from your landline.
Not everyone knows how to set up a profile manually. You may need to speak to a few people before getting someone who knows what they are doing.
The thing is, since Sky updated DLM last year, less people have needed to be placed on the Gaming Profile. So you may actually be on a very good profile already.
If you would prefer a 2nd or 3rd opinion as to whether you would actually benefit from being placed on the gaming profile, could I ask you to post your connection stats and the results of pinging the BBC website please?
How to get your Sky Router statistics
Also could you describe your current setup please. If you could include details such as how you are connected to your router, how the router is connected to the telephone line, which socket is being used and any microfilters or filtered faceplates. Also whether or not there are any BT Junction boxes between the master socket and where your telephone line leaves your building.
