unreal tournament 2004
My old isp was aol (2 megs) when i was playing 2k4 my ping was around 28 on my fav servers now im on around 12 megs with sky bb and my ping has doubled ive configured the port forwarding on my router for 2k4 but it has made no difference any ideas

thats becouse your now on Interleaved as on AOL you was probably on fast my ping has doubled since being on sky aswell but ive not realy noticed any performance loss on games though

Do you think i should get the tech guys to turn Interleaved off if aol dosn't use it i never ever had connection problems with them.

They won't turn it off afaik, there was a post somewhere which pretty much stated that they would only turn off Interleaving on the CONNECT package.

you could try when i phoned them they said they couldn't do it
but interleaving does make for a more stable line "To help would be a great adventure"

indeed as it will also make your line alot less stable and the speed would more than likely need to be lowerd aswell.
your ping will make almost no diffrence untill u start hitting 55ms or above.

They WILL turn off interleave if you can ever get through to tier 3, I'm on the mid package and my ping was well over 100ms, I eventually got through to tier 3 (after 6 days wait) and they turned off interleave and put me on fast profile. Ping went down to 40ms and my connection has been rock solid.
