Someone please help me with xbox 360

Can someone please help me, i cant get online with xbox 360 at all i have the V2 Netgear black sky router and im connecting using ethernet, and all i keep getting is IP ADRESS FAILED everytime. My PS3 and laptops all work fine wireless and my main pc by ethernet but no xbox please help someone its driving me nutts.

Thanks mate but that seems like a hell of a lot of hassle to have to go through, and i dont think i would understand all that anyways i cant believe why it dont just work its only ethernet all my other stuff works like pc and computers.

IP address fail sounds like it's not getting the correct IP address from the router.

Make sure that the Xbox 360 has IP address to dynamic.

How is this done if its set to auto.

I had the same probs earlier this evening!!
I gave up trying to connect to the router and instead i used a pc with an existing wireless connection to the router and plugged into the ethernet port on that. Set it up to let any connected device access the internet and job done.

I have this same problem can anyone else help to resolve this issue.

Try setting the Xbox 360 with a static IP.

E.g. 192.168.0.77

Then check on your router, by login on, to see if the Xbox is a connected device.
