It's a bit different when you have kids pressing you for the latest games, but as Adrian mentioned earlier games can be had quite cheaply a few months after release. I agree that the price of new games can be exorbitant and wonder if they factor in a cost to cover piracy, similar to the way we all pay around £50 / year extra inbuilt in our policies for car insurance to cover the cost to insurance companies of uninsured drivers.Last edited by dholdi; 23-01-09 at 09:54 PM.

I have also noticed that due to the recession new games are now being priced at the £30-40 on release and dropping like a stone to £20-30 4-6 weeks afterwards.
I got mirrors edge and the force unleashed both for £20 new at game just by waiting.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
