Hi fugly
Have you rang Customer Relations on 02077053000 explain to them, They offered mac code when I explained the problems. They will tell you that they are not technical so cannot help with the tech side they can put you through to cst I was happy with assistance they provided.

Re: Lagging at peak times
They won't pass you to CST they will put you through to tier 1 tech support and you are better off filling in the KANA form for Max delay reduction as not all tier 1 staff have been instructed in max delay calls.

Re: Lagging at peak times
I have the same problems, my ping can be quite normalish (50s) and then shoots up to around 121:
Pinging 212.58.224.138 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 212.58.224.138: bytes=32 time=60ms TTL=121

Really ******* me off tbh, as soon as this happens i get kicked from servers. I rang sky the other night to have my max delay reduced, and the woman i got had no idea whatsoever what i was talking about. I mean, not one clue.

Re: Lagging at peak times
that's because tier 1 won't know (well, some will)...you need to get past them to CST as they're the ones who can sort it out...

Re: Lagging at peak times
As suggested numerous times in this thread, you should fill in the KANA form on the Sky website, it will get done within three days normally.
Although if your ping is up and down that much then the problem may lie elsewhere.

Re: Lagging at peak times
I dont know if im just being blind but i cant see this KANA form you mention to fill out, no idea what it is so any idea where to find it on their site?
My problem is the same ofc, i play 'World of Warcraft' and its impossible to play at peak times. Out of a group of 25 people im the only one to disconnect constantly when a lot starts to happen in the game, it seems to me as if i have massive packet loss compared to others and wondering if thats common with sky. Ofc others have lag like me but they dont disconnect, they are all able to carry on playin the game so thats what makes me think its an issue with Sky broadband. Just totally had enough of it now as its been going on for ages.Last edited by Mizuri; 12-01-09 at 10:26 PM.
