xbox live can't connect
i have been playing on xbox live since may and have had no problems but yesterday it wouldn't connect to xbox live. i did the tests and it said xbox live had failed today it is still the same so i called xbox live support and they have told me to call sky and to ask for the udp88 udp3074 and tcp3074 ports to be opened and to enable upnp
is this the correct thing to be doing as i cannot understand why it has suddenly just stopped working?

If its the XBox Live section of the Network test that failed, that would normally point to something to do with your profile as any problems with your network should have shown up in the previous sections as far as I'm aware. The ports only really alter your NAT rating.

Follow the instructions given in THIS GUIDE to open the ports in your router. Although it is written for the V1 router, the basics apply to V2s, links may be slightly different, that's all. UPnP is on by default, if you have not turned it off, it should not require attention.
If it still does not work, you can get back to Xbox and tell them you have done as they suggested.

there were problems with xbox live yesterday not sky.
