Re: Broadband Connect + Reducing Max Delays?
Just having the same thing ATM, evening gaming is a nightmare, anyways I spoke a techy from sky yesterday he asked me to do some random speed checks at speedtester.bt.com and to let them know the speed and ring back.
He aslo said due to me being on Connect package that he was unable to change the max delays but with the evidence of these test he could get BT to do it.
Currently trying to get back through to them as the phone lines are some what busy.
Will let you know if they can do it Jezzer.

Re: Broadband Connect + Reducing Max Delays?
Spoke to sky finally late yesterday afternoon, After going through the issues again the lady went off for a few mins then came back saying that Sky are aware that a lot of gamers are having such issues with bad connections at certain times of the day, and it is under investigation, She asked if I minded that my case was added to the investigation.
So my case was added to it, she did say they would get back to me but not sure of a time frame on this, so I just said I would ring back early next week if there was no improvement.
That said last night my ping was a decent 45 ish all evening, wether sky had altered anything or wether my line was quite due to ppl out letting off fireworks I don't know.
How was your connection last night jezzer?
What you say about joining a server and a few minutes later you ping jumping is exactly what I get and even the kicks via PB for losing key packets happens sometimes, playing COD4 by the way.Last edited by fugly; 06-11-08 at 09:34 AM.

Re: Broadband Connect + Reducing Max Delays?
Yep, my previous post was about CoD4 also. Around 140ish last night after a couple of minutes on each server. Got the morning off today so I will give them a ring.
EDIT: Just rung Sky and they've given me a ticket to speak to CST. When they said they'd put me through, the line went dead. Oh well, try again...
