you may have to see if you can log the times when the disconnects happen, if they happen at the same time it could be some electrical device turning on / off, this could be in your house or anywhere between you and the exchange.

Okay, well anyway can I use another router, I have another Netgear one, so can i take the settings off this one and put them onto my other one ?

you can do (it does break sky's T&C's, so be aware), but may be a good idea to rule out the router. you will find all the info you need in the tech forum

when you have it up and running, let us know how it fares against the sky router

I have cured this problem now, i rang up SKY and they saw weird things on my line they reduced speed to 4 and a half meg and everything is perfect now
