Sudden Strict NAT
I've been on Sky BB for am couple of months now and according to the Xbox live network test Ive always had an open NAT setting. But earlier i tried to join a Halo 3 game and i got a warning about my NAT been strict so i was like WTF. i thought restarting the modem would solve the problem so i restarted it and it changed the NAT to moderate. but i wanted open so i restarted again and now its back to Strict
is there any way to make the NAT setting open all the time for my PC and Xbox?
I had a problem with my BT home hub NAT setting which is part of the reason i changed to sky i don't want to have the same problem here as well.
Thanks for any help

Re: Sudden Strict NAT
It's probably Xbox Live playing up a bit, if you have the V1 Netgear white router, just make sure all settings on your Xbox are set to automatic, and enable UPnP in the router. This will give an Open NAT, and you don't need to bugger about with static IP's or port forwarding.
EDIT:Make sure you reboot everything after making any changes and then run a connection test from the dashboard.Last edited by x LAGER LOUT x; 01-06-08 at 05:03 PM. Reason: Added to.
