Bad Ping On Sky!

was gonna say, those could've been achieved with Sky tbh but obviously you didn't want to wait to speak to someone who could deal with it...

so long as you're happy though...

they could of mate. when i joined sky in july last year i was on 14meg. then all of a suddne i couldnt get it. i rang up sky asked how fast i could go and they said6meg. i said same to B* and they said between 18 to the full whack (24meg) i loving B* ping levels of 37 and everything i ask or question is answered on the day. i phoned and sent emails for sky to sort my line,pinglevels and speed and they couldt help on each 1.

Got the same problem with my ping... Rang SKY yesterday after moving house and asked if they could change my Max delays to improve my ping but they friendly lady said, sky DONT support gaming and they can’t help me. I told her they did so on my previous address but still she said they don’t give any support for gaming...

best call again and hope you get someone who's read the emails from head office...they can do it but some seem to ignore internal info emails...

Bit of a shame really, maybe worth trying again. As the pings can be changed very simply.

is there anything specific i need to ask SKY, so they know what i'm talking about?

not really, it's just hoping the agent you first get to before getting to CST knows procedure...once at CST it's an easy fix...

Update: -

Rang Sky last night and spoke to "J” who didn’t have a clue what I was talking about. The best he could come up with was I need to contact my supplier of my network interface card. Anyway he wasn’t a big help and couldn’t put me through to anyone else. Must have been very new @ Sky. Phoned back strait after he hung up the phone and spoke to a lady who knew exactly what to do and raised a ticket for me.

Ping was: 160
Ping now: 64
ME now 1 very happy bunny

Hi All 

As you can see I’m getting pings between 80-96 and I am less then 5 miles away from my local exchange and live in London where the ping test was done, I’m going to phone up sky and see if I can get the ping times lowered as I believe this is very high.

Just not sure who to talk to, Option 1 for this option 2 for that, so I guess that’s my question who exactly do I talk to?
And do I say I’m a PC gamer?
