Ping/traceroute request
Hi all,
I'm currently on Be and get amazingly good pings to bbc.co.uk (steady 7-8ms). Sadly I'm moving house soon and it's fairly likely that the place I'll be moving to will have Sky broadband. As I usually play on european servers, I'm a little concerned that I'll have a rather unplayable ping.
It'd be great if someone in London who have had their 'max delays' decreased (as per the stickies in this forum) could post a tracert to clanwars.xs4all.nl and one to wargamez.dk.
Cheers

Re: Ping/traceroute request
Yeah there's very helpful, thanks for replying!
That's a lot better than I expected to wargamez. clanwars is a bit higher though - would you be able to tracert clanwars.xs4all.nl and paste the result?

Re: Ping/traceroute request
Cheers guys, I'm actually pleasantly suprised by these results. I had expected to give up any sort of competitive gaming.

Re: Ping/traceroute request
my opinion u better stay on BE because sky pings arent very good , because sky is not for gaming... for downloads and uploads its fine but for gaming its just bad.
I speak Russian / English / Lithuanian

Re: Ping/traceroute request
I would beg to disagree, pings may not be as good as BE, but I cant tell the difference between one that pings at 30ms and one that pings at 50ms, that could be because I'm old and slow tho
I've even played on american server with pings of 100+ and held my own.
I think people pay to much to ping when packet loss is actually more important ?
