Re: pings higher after FW upgrade?
CST were most definately right to say that you should only be on 5Mbps... I'd really like to know why people think any agent would take the speed down if it wasn't going to be beneficial. More "speed" doesn't mean a faster connection, it'll just end up dropping out causing more complaints- especially if you're max delays have been dropped... I think you may have been on the phone with someone I was talking to tonight, they were talking about someone asking for their max delays down and their speed up. They said it would caused problems but then again, as I read in another post, "the customer is always right"...

Re: pings higher after FW upgrade?
i dont think the firmware upgrade has anything to do with it, im using my own dlink router and since last week my pings have gone from 21ms to bbc.co.uk to 33, not complaining though as the sync speed has gone from 9026 to 9356 and it does appear to be a lot snappier than before.
