Xbox Live drop out
Hi.... I'm hoping someone here can help as Sky Techs just seem to want to throw new routers at me which i don't think is the cause.
But anyway, i've noticed a fairly poor signal on my Xbox 360 (wireless adaptor inc) when playing live. Mostly with PES 2008 but also on Halo3 and COD4.
It simply boots me out after 10mins or less to the lobby or title screen saying that it's lost the connection.
I never had this with the BT Homehub.
I have a pretty poor speed considering i have the Max package. Speed Test indicates my net connection fluctuates from 1.9 to 2.5 mb and uploads can sometimes scrape 29kbps!!!!
If anyone has any ideas to try as i'm a bit of a div at setting up networks, i'd very much appreciate it!
Oh.... i'm also running a mac on 10.5.2 if that has any bearing.
Cheers!

Re: Xbox Live drop out
Your stats are not far off mine. I have never played gaming wirelessly as it sux. But, make sure you post your router stats from your test socket after it has been plugged in for about an hour. Also, run ping tests to bbc.co.uk and see roughly what pings you get, cause alot of people forget gaming speed/reaction is about ping, not speed. So try and find them 2 things out, cause it could be faulty wiring that is causing your slow speeds. So DEFINATELY try the test socket!

Re: Xbox Live drop out
Wire the xbox up, it is no good trying to play it wirelessly, it is just not recommended unless you have a good attenuation and a good ping.
