That looks interesting. Anyone got any experience with those and gaming? Don't fancy dropping £90 to find out they're not up to it.

Re: Xbox Live drop out
OK.... things have taken a turn.
For the worse. I replaced the master plate fascia with the £10 one one ADSL Nation. and everything seemed to be hunky dory. Connection speed rose from an average of 3.5mb d/l to 4.5mb but pings still seemed to be very high (93-108).
Spoke to a very nice irish lady at Sky and asked straight away to have my Max Delay lowered and explained why. After insinuating i was maybe a little too old to be playing with boys toys, she said she would speak to tier 3. She came back on the line maybe 3 minutes later saying that 'Tier 3 had completed the request' and thanks for calling.
Ever since, my line has been pretty bad tbh. Drop outs on connection to internet let alone xbox and Speedtests that wildly vary:
Last night it tested as ms ping of 438 with download of 538kbps and upload of 59kbps
I'm stumped.

Re: Xbox Live drop out
And i have warned people about this before that the connection can go intermittent if you do not have a good quaility line and you get your max delays changed.

Re: Xbox Live drop out
Yeah... I phoned CST yesterday and asked them to reset it. The guy said that there was basically a data blockage. He set my line to a 4mb max dl as that seems to be the most it can handle and set my max delay to 16.
Been using it since and it's still totally whack. Tbh, i'd prefer it how it was on day one and get something like the Homeplug system to get a better connection.
This is really starting to get on my nerves now.
Here's the router stats with the new faceplate.

Re: Xbox Live drop out
Ask them to change your max delays back to 32.
