What exactly am i asking for?

Hi my name is Chris and i am a gamer, I'm from south of the United Kingdom. I live in Fareham which is in Hampshire and i have the Sky Broadband Base package. I'm not too sure if sky make allowances to change ping times for this package but it would be helpfull.



I need my ping lowered it's usually 100+ on most server's. I don't exactly know what interleaving or max delay is but i think that is what is making my ping high and is making it hard to play online games without laging like hell. I'm gonna give sky a ring today but i don't know what i'm asking to be changed? Can somone help me?

what do you get if you run ping jolt.co.uk? what are the times?

you are looking to have your max delays lowered, as sky do not often switch interlieving off

ouch... those are painfully high...

there are two ways to go about it when you ring them, you can either mention max delays from the start, and hope that they know what you mean,

OR you can go through the standard slow connection troubleshooting until you get put to CST, then just ask for your max delays to be lowered.
