360 connection problems
I could not sign into xbox live so I changed some settings on my 360 now I cant even stream music from my laptop to my 360.
I have official wireless adapter on the 360 it is showing as connected to my wireless network but 360 is failing to obtain ip address.
When I go into ip address on 360 it gives me IP Address, Subnet Mask but Gateway is 0.0.0.0
I have not touched my router settings.
Can anyone help !
Thanks in advance !

Re: 360 connection problems
Gateway is 192.168.0.1 if it is using the router as the gateway

Re: 360 connection problems
Go to System blade of dashboard, select Network settings and restore to factory defaults. You don't need to change anything after that (just leave it all set to automatic).

Re: 360 connection problems
Thats ok, steady red light means it's ready to connect to a wireless network, go to system blade, network settings, edit settings, scroll down to where it says "wireless mode" and press a, it will now scan for networks.
Choose yours from the list and enter your network key. Should be good to go now.

Re: 360 connection problems
Just to point out Xbox live is still apparently having real problems during peak times, which is what the original problem was most likely.
Microsoft got an extra 2 million subscribers over Xmas and this has overloaded their capacity.

Re: 360 connection problems
Try rebooting the router if you haven't already done so. If this doesn't help try a wired connection? If this works and you still want to go wireless then you should try disabling wireless security in the router settings and trying to connect. If it now connects, then re-enable security and try that.
