Laggy Gaming
I've experienced this on two different PC's and it's still constant. This never happened when I first got connected with Sky as far as I can remember. My gaming is very laggy, my pings are fine (50 on a server in Amsterdam) and I get perfectly reasonable speeds (4.5mbit) but I get constant game jumps, making most FPS's unplayable. I get this on all online games I play and it's very annoying. It's strange that my pings are ok. Any ideas? Would getting my max delay set to 8 work? I'm totally sure it's not a PC problem, as I just built this PC and it's the same as it was on the old PC.

Re: Laggy Gaming
You may find it gets better after having max delays reduced, give them a bell and try it.

Re: Laggy Gaming
Will do, once the max delays are set how long will it be until it takes effect? Will I need to restart the router?

Re: Laggy Gaming
You just need to phone sky up, persuade them to put you through to tier 3 and it will all be done while you are on the phone to them.

Re: Laggy Gaming
I have had my max delays reduced (about 1 month ago) but have found over the past 2 days my ping in xbox live has been bad ........ where as before it was fine. Not sure what is going on.

Re: Laggy Gaming
I assume that Xbox Live is going to be pretty bad as it was patch day on Tuesday the 5th Dec and so 11 million consoles will need to download the patch when they switch on, got a feeling that will stretch MS servers for a while.
