Why was the Update to Max delays thread locked?
Sky have today made allowances for Gamers with the profiles on their Systems.
"All
After reviewing the sky forums sites, recent escalations from customers and after discussions with Marketing, please can you implement the following
Should any customer be transferred to Tier 3 and request for their max delay levels to be decreased as a result of them using their broadband connection for Gaming, please arrange for this to be done. You should look to set their max delays at 8. Please ensure you leave the customer with a stable line after completing this."

Re: Why was the Update to Max delays thread locked?
I can confirm that this is true. Received my email today following my enquiry a few days previous:
Dear Mr Platt,
Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband Technical Support.
As per your request, I have created Ticket 455323 to allow us to change your Max Delays.
Our Speed and Config team will test your line to ensure your connection remains stable once changed.
Please allow 5 working days for this to be completed.
Once done you will notice an improvement in online latency.
If you need further help or information, please reply to this email or call us on 08705 515 515.
As part of Sky’s commitment to continual improvement, please take a few moments to complete a short confidential questionnaire.
This will provide us with feedback on the Technical Support we provide by email.
Simply Click here to start.
Kind regards
Mark

Re: Why was the Update to Max delays thread locked?
It won't gain you any extra speed and is pointless unless you are a gamer
And also where is the online form to subimt tickets?~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Why was the Update to Max delays thread locked?
Nice one, Sorry I didn't spot the other thread, I thought mabey it was because the information had been found lacking in substance. I noticed a couple of people posting on other threads saying "Tier 3 rejected my request"
Having heard this I may attempt to do battle with the Customer Support phone lines everyone has been talking about. Good job Skyuser.co.uk btw!

Re: Why was the Update to Max delays thread locked?
tier 3 WILL reject the request if the line is already bad - as lowering the delays will make the line less stable
