ARGH. Tried Everything. I think..

Ok, so i have DG834GT Router, and I got a wireless Xbox live Adapter. Ive tried EVERYTHING and i CANNOT get Xbox live to work. It says im connected to it on the "edit settings" etc, but on the Tests it says im not. Ive tried connecting to my friends wireless internet and i get past the connection stage, but fail the IP Address, so i know its not the Adapter.
Any help would be VERY appreciated, thanks.

have you entered the security key correctly as the sky router has a password on the wireless

Is the IP Address setting on Automatic, and can you give us all the details of the network.

It would also be good if you could tell us exactly where the Xbox fails when you test the connection.

Its on Automatic, and details about what? my router?
the Xbox fails on the "Wireless Network" --> 2nd test.

when i used to use my microsoft wireless adaptor i found it crap because its got too many compatiblity issues, try this turn all wireless security off on router and then try connecting again to your router ok. Then i'll try helping you from there as it we'll be able to narrow down the reasons why it aint working(as i ahve been there done it lol when i used to use the microsoft wireless adaptor)

So turn off WPA key/Firewall? Thats all the security i can think of atm.
