Phoning Sky

Right basically, i don't pay for the broadband or anything my dad does, so when i phone up sky about the max delays thing is there anything i'll particulary need to know?

Also, what's the number to tier1, and do i just ask to be put through to tier3?, is it that simple?

you will have to pretend to be your dad and blag the Data Protection Act questions.

Other than faking the questions being completley illegal, if he can answer the password, he doesnt need to pretend to be his dad. and if he doesnt know the password, then they will ask him questions he probably wont be able to answer (not Mothers maiden name or Date of Birth) so it'd be easier just being honest.

that was the whole point of me using the word blag and quoting the Data Protection Act.... ie it's breaking the law!!!!

Also there is a chance that Sam is actually a girl which would prove interesting at faking being a male!

you'll have to log the fault to tier 1 as a 'slow connection' but make sure they mention gaming as otherwise it'll just get closed off (and it prob will anyway, but best be safe). or you might be lucky and they pass you thru to tier 3....

tbh, you'll only get it changed if you get to speak to tier 3.....have to remember that Sky BB isn't aimed at gamers so it can be hard to get to the right people (and not al tier 3 agens know about the delays settings either - so even getting to tier 3 might not do anything!!)
