as for ur line, ur far away so you might finding capping to 2MB and lowering to 16s will solve ur issues...-------------------------------------------

I have only been with sky 2 months and its the worst 2 months for gaming i play well use to play everquest but now due to the terrible connection i get i have given up while i wait for my local cable company to reinstall there broadband... the main problem now is 2 bills for 12 months as sky say that i have a broadband connection and if its not good enough for my game tough play some thing different .... gret customer service but thats large companys for you !!!!!

I'm on sky mid, got them to change my max delay and the pings are fine.
Simply send in a request on the website and wait a few days for a response and they'll sort it.
my service is the same as Pipex aws from my house, a ping of 50ms on average in mohaa only £5 instead of £27.
I'm in a gaming clan each night playing matches and using TS and the pings are fine.
USER ERROR springs to mind here.

I have done similar in the past but here are my pings to bbc and jolt. Bare in mind that when playing cs source or bf1942 ect.. my pings are usually around 20ms in uk.

Sky cannot be good for some people and bad for others? unless there is an exchange problem or bad end user setups or dodgy wiring.
