Cannot Connect To PS3 Server

tis a weird one, I have both a Wii and a 360 both connecting via wireless to my sky router and they didnt need any config other than detecting a network and entering the wpa key, when I done my m8s PS3 it was much of the same although I never did check updates or connectivity beyond the router

would anyone be able to log onto the playstation network to make sure thats its not down ?

do snoy have a help number ? or is there an email that i will get a reply from as the uk ps3 help details is that they want us to send them a letter....

ok, i change and did everything that was advised to....nothing, so i then decided to connect my ps3 wth my eithernet cable to my router, i know that i should had done that first time, but as u will find out it wasnt that easy.
So for me to connect my ps3 to my router i can to take my tv and my ps3 upstairs.

I then plug it all in and the eithernet cable and bang, it came up. I then unplugged it agian and thougt i'll try wirelessly again and wallop i connect....

I made sure ( Wirelessly that is ) that i was able to serve, sign up on the playstationstore etc etc and i was able. Everything working fine...

I then move the tv and ps3 back down stairs and guess what...nothing...so its the distance between my router and my ps3....

So im going to move the Router downstairs......
