Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
According to the Wikipedia page, sadly the answer appears to be no.

If your TV cannot already receive Freeview, then it might be worth looking into this as an option.

Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
Thanks Scubbie. It was for the spare sky box in the kitchen (no aerial feed) to have a decent channel to watch, without costing much/anything. Main viewing room is well covered with freeview & sky+ sub. Shame.

Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
Why not connect the TV with a Magic eye to your main box and get rid of the spare box altogether.

Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
We normally use the two boxes for different viewing at the same time. Freeview + video sender doesent sound like a bad idea though. Had one in the early days and have to say it was very hit and miss. Are they much better now for signal and resulting picture quality?.

Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
Picture quality will depend on the units and how they are positioned. I would suggest that some research would be in order to find out which would offer you the best picture in your case.
They do have the advantage of built-in IR Senders back to the STB, although many do not work with the Sky STBs.

Thanks. I see Argos do quite a few so I might take the no risk approach and get one from there to test it out.
cheers

Re: Freesat + Quest channel?
No problem.
Maplin also has quite a large range available now, although their returns policy is good, they might get a little funny after returning a number of them.
Personally I would pop in and ask some questions first to see which is suitable for your needs.
