Upgrade from freesat
Can I upgrade the Freesat from sky card I currently have in my box to a sky entertainment package or would I need a new card.
We currently have a sky package at our address but I want to upgrade the freesat card, I don't want a multiroom subscription or any thing like that just a second package, this box is not connected to a phone line .
Any advice would be helpful.
Cheers
Ray

Re: Upgrade from freesat
If you mean you have one box which has a Sky subscription and another with a Freeview from Sky card, then no you can't add packages to it. What you can do is take out a multi room subscription and then you will have all the packages you have on your existing box. If your existing box does not have Movies or Sports, I think you can get multi room Lite for £5 a month.

That's why my first sentence was this -

Re: Upgrade from freesat
Would you like to explain how you did it and what it cost? I am sure there are many who would be interested.

Re: Upgrade from freesat
Certainly, Rang sky on08442 410 971, asked them to upgrade my freesat subscription to the basic sky entertainment package, confirmed that I already had a Hd package at this address but that the additional subscription was for the granny flat at the bottom of the garden, too remote for a multiroom subscription and no phone line. New account was set up using same contact detailsand card arrived 2 days later.
Card is now activated in a sky+ box purchased from ebay for £1 and all works well.
Sorry its taken time to reply been away on holiday.
