      No signal

Hello. I stay in a flat where there is a communal dish on the roof. I recently wanted to get sky, so I got the box and viewing card from SKY. The guy from sky came and told me, (before I gotbox) that the sky would work no problem and the signal is good, if not perfect. I am able to get BBC1 and 2, STV and CH4, all crystal clear. Now I plugged in my box and I get no signal error, I m sure there must be some signal since I get some channels. What could be wrong?

      Thanks

Sounds like a faulty box or lnb on the dish to me, I'd get onto sky!

If it is a communual system, Sky will not touch it. You should ask if any neighbours are having problems. The building should have a company that maintains the system for them.
