    Help with new tv

This is a discussion on Help with new tv within the Freesat forums, part of the Sky & Sky+ TV category; I've seen that Currys & Comet have the Panasonic P42G10 TV on special offer. I've had Panasonis products for years ...

      Help with new tv

I've seen that Currys & Comet have the Panasonic P42G10 TV on special offer.

I've had Panasonis products for years and never had problems with any of them.

The P42G10 is very tempting especially with the Freesat HD.

Neither Currys or Comet can answer this question though!

I currently have Sky+ which gives me the benefit of being able to record programs. If I purchase this tv I will cancel my contract with Sky as the TV comes with Freesat. Will I be able to record programs? (ie does the tv have a built in hard drive)

Currys did advise that I could purchase it and if it didn't work them to return it!!! Hardly a good customer experience!!

If I did get this tv could I cancel my Sky tv subscription and still keep my phone and broadband or is it all as part of a package?

If anyone can help I'll be grateful.

Cancelling your TV will automatically cancel your Phone and Broadband. Having an active TV subscription is a condition of having these. First paragraph in the broadband T & Cs and the second in the Phone ones.-

I don't know what offer you have seen but Pixmania have it at a good price.-

Byeing a panasonic in-store should get you a free five year warranty, go onto the pansonic uk web site, also you can download the manuals.

      Re: Help with new tv

Just bought the P42G10 and am very impressed with it.

Going to stick with the Sky package I currently have as I can only pick up 1 HD channel (BBC HD) on Freesat at the moment.

Is it possible does anyone know to get some sort of splitter for my Sky+ and TV?

As you know Sky+ has 2 cables and my tv (Freesat) needs 1 cable to pick up the signal. I know I can just unplug from Sky+ and put into the back of my TV as and when required but I'd like something a bit more permanent.
