    sky to sky + freesat help

    This is a discussion on sky to sky + freesat help within the Freesat forums, part of the Sky & Sky+ TV category; guess what i just discoverd... the LNB polerisation is off... by 90 deg... which means its going to look weird ...

      guess what i just discoverd...

      the LNB polerisation is off... by 90 deg... which means its going to look weird with the big bit + cables out to the side instead of hanging down...

      need to make adjustments tomarriow... but theirs one for the weird catagory...

      "It picks up channels from Astra 1E, 1D ". These are radiated from 19 degs not 28 degs. So it looks as if (i) you've moved the dish or (ii) the LNB and arm aren't aligned properly and are off the main focus. The fact that you are getting good signal strength but no lock supports this view. Looking at next doors dish only gives a very general idea of which direction to point and the final adjustment really needs a meter on one of the LNB outputs.

      Try tuning to 11.567 V 22,000 5/6 and/or 11836 H 27,500 3/4 and see if you get a lot of unencrypted overseas channels. If you do it's Astra 1 at 19 degs.

      No it's not, look at all my previouse reply's either dish has moved or LNB arm is not correctly set
